Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Calyu. By accessing and using the Calyu application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with any of the terms, please do not use the App.
1. Description of the service
Calyu is a free shared flat management app that allows users to organise household chores, split expenses and manage shopping lists collaboratively.
2. User account
To use the App you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities carried out from your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at info@calyu.app.
3. Acceptable use
By using the App, you agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal or unauthorised purposes.
- Post content that is offensive, defamatory, obscene or that infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts without authorisation.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the App or its servers.
- Make unauthorised commercial use of the App.
4. User content
Content you post to the App (photos, text, expenses) remains your property. By posting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it to the members of your flat within the App. We will not sell or share this content with third parties.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its code, design, logos and brand are the intellectual property of Calyu. Copying, distributing or modifying them without prior written authorisation is prohibited.
6. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is". Calyu does not guarantee that the App will be error-free or continuously available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Calyu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the App.
7. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. If you continue to use the App after changes are published, you will be deemed to have accepted them.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Barcelona, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may apply.
